Hi!

I'm trying to use VxC with StarCitizen game. The problem is the following:

I tried a test command (just emulates pressing "F" button) with DXInput plugin, it works fine with other games, but not with StarCitizen...

Could you please give a detailed description of the difference between DXInput, Inputkeys and Sendkeys actions. So that  I could post questions to SC support?

Are there any hints for using VxC with games?

Haddood

When Voice command gets tough, use hand gestures

Checked already, that doesn't help

Hi Ilya.

Usually your best chance if playing games is to use the DxInput plugin.  Don't worry about sendkeys or inputkeys.  If DxInput does not work then they will not work either.

Try to increase the default keypress delay in the DxInput plugin settings to 50 or more.

You could also try to run VC as administrator and/or turn UAC off to see if it makes a difference.

If that does not work then I have no advice other than to make sure you are using the DxInput actions with the correct parameters.

I guess you can always try to use InputKeys for the hell of it.

Launching Vox as Administrator (DXInput) did the trick!

Is it normal? Why it works that way only in StarCitizen, other games (warthunder, IL2 BoS) work fine without Administrator privileges?

I'm not an expert in these things, but generally a program cannot talk to a program that has higher level of privilege than itself because that would create a security flaw.

That is why I am not allowed to remote control Barack Obama.

So my guess is that Star Citizen is probably running with elevated privileges (i.e. as admin) for some reason.
