Hey all, does anyone know the rawparam line for opening an incognito tab with chrome?
Thanks in advance
Jamie

James, if this was a problem with default browser, wouldn't I have experienced this problem before now?
As I said previously, I have re-installed Chrome to be on the safe side, ticked the box to set it as default browser (Even though it was default already) Also checked in my default programs list and everything seems to check out there too.

As far as I'm aware the only recent new install I've done on my computer here is the newest version of VC, nothing has changed in months other than this except the reinstall of Chrome after I noticed the problem.

Appreciate the help and hope we can get to the bottom of this! I'm missing being mouse lazy
Jamie

Nime5ter thanks for helping with this.
RawParam works fine, opens the youtube page in Chrome just fine.
Thanks
Jamie

<command id="1533" name="launch Youtube" enabled="true" alwaysOn="False" confirm="False" requiredConfidence="0" loop="False" loopDelay="0" loopMax="0" description="">
  <action>
    <cmdType>Launch.OpenURL</cmdType>
    <params>
      <param>www.youtube.com</param>
    </params>
    <cmdRepeat>1</cmdRepeat>
  </action>
  <phrase>Launch, open, start, go to</phrase>
  <phrase>Youtube</phrase>
</command>

All of the commands are really simple, as above, the most complex it gets is a little TTS chit chat whilst opening the web page.
I've attached my log, hope this helps!
Thanks, Jamie

Hi all, just installed VC 2.145 over my old install, now for some reason all my commands with Launch.OpenUrl do not work?
I get the error in VC history "Object reference not set to instance of an object"
Everything worked fine before installing the new version of VC.

Any help would be appreciated.
I HAVE tried-
Reinstalling Chrome
Reinstalling VC
Please note even the links in program to Wiki do not open either!

Thanks in advance, Jamie.

Up until this morning I have been using en-GB, but have now just switched to US and retrained my profile (Still getting great results for myself)
Hopefully when my wife finishes work and has chance to retrain her profile it'll make some difference!

If not, I will definitely give recording ourselves a try and comparing the results!
One thing I've learnt from having and using VC is to be patient! What you're trying to achieve always works out in the end!

Thanks again for the advice everyone

Thanks for all the help guys!

Just to clear up a few points, we do use a prefix for VC, as a rule VC will pick up my wifes voice and what she is saying, just the confidence isn't high enough to trigger the command, although it's not uncommon for VC.Not Recognized to pop up once or twice whilst she is trying to give any command too!

I have tried fiddling with my mic input levels (I have one stand alone Blue Yeti Pro, with input set to around 10/100, with all 4 of the built in mic's active, it is placed about 6 inches behind myself and my wifes head, where it is attached to the back of our couch....

Prefix confidence is set to 60 and Command confidence level set to 50, although lowering these settings does seem to end up giving my wife better results, VC tends to pick up a lot of false positives from myself and my wife ( random commands even in prefix mode but)

Her accent isn't really all that bad, pretty standard BC Canadian accent with a touch of Scottish twang in there, If anything, I would think my voice (Broad British Yorkshire accent) would be harder for VC to understand!

Pretty frustrating because I want VC to work as amazingly with her as it does with me!

I plan on getting a Kinect to try out with VC next month, maybe even using VAC to use the existing mic I have and the Kinect at the same time( providing results are all good)
Will keep you all updated and currently tinkering with having 2 instances of VC running too.

Thanks guys

  Okay so VC is working brilliant with myself, average 95% success rate, I have two speech profiles set up which VC can change between for myself and my wife, we have both done training on the separate profiles, which seems to have worked wonders for me, but not for my wife!

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something?

Help please!

"I use this as well to switch user profile for SAPI as my significant other has a very different accent and VC has hard time understanding us both under one profile "

Can you tell me more about this Hadood?
My wife and myself have the same issue as you, I changed the command so when I told VC who I was, it changed the speech profile....the problem I found with that method was, VC had to restart, then it no longer remembered who it was talking to...
Multiple commands could easily solve this but I wanted something that just flows, I tell VC who I am, changes speech profile, and still remember the user.

Any suggestions?

Kalle the command xml you supplied is perfect. Thanks so much!

Also Hadood thanks for the tips on the personalized responses!

Now for a bit of tinkering!

Cheers guys!

I was wondering if there is any way for VC to remember who it is talking to using payloads?
I do not wish for VC to do anything else but to remember who it is speaking to, so for example.
(There is only myself and my partner living in my home)
Command: Jarvis this is *Name* giving you commands.

I then wish to be able to ask VC who it is speaking to at any given time and it reference the previous command, even if the last time it was spoken was hours ago...
so for example
command: Jarvis who am i?
VC would then return the correct answer providing the original command was given whenever there is a user change.

If anyone has any idea's or can point me in the direction of something similar that has already been done
cheers
Jamie

Nime5ter unfortunately that function doesn't work on my command prompt

I was wondering if anyone had a command that returned the computers temperature status/ CPU usage?
EG Something along the lines of Command : Jarvis How are you feeling...
VC would then return an answer based on the values..?
EG.  Not too good sir (If the temperature was hot)
A little rushed (If CPU usage was high)
Or specific values with a "What's your status" command

Its something I would love to have a bash at myself but I haven't a clue where to start!
Third party software im guessing is definately going to be needed...

After a factory reset of Windows and full re-install of VC the problem is now fixed.

I have tried all of the recommendations yourself and kalle advised me to do but the problem is still the same
James is there any possible way you could send me via email the PY Plugin folder from your installation?
Im no computer wizz like you guys but if the problem is the .dll file would replacing the whole plugin folder with a working plugin folder rectify the problem?
Maybe redownloading VCsetup and trying a fresh install could help....

Im out of ideas myself so im just clutching at straws, otherwise VC works perfectly other than this one command.
Maybe its a mystery that will never be solved
