News:

There is a soft-mute function which we use with the commands like "What song is this?" There is one for system volume, one for each of: MediaMonkey, XBMC, iTunes, MediaPortal.

Thanks guys fantastic

I currently have 2 options for mics the first is a £7 Genius swivel head wired jack this would work as I could fit it at my mouth height Just behind me and speak directly into it when my pink Floyd is in full flow,

the other is a designed for Skype with my Panasonic vt50 its a Panasonic TY-CC20W usb connection paid £90 for it a year ago

both seem to work well in testing Im currently setting up on my laptop before I connect the amp and tv

will  :bonk myself further and no doubt return to you guys more confused than ever  :biglaugh thanks for your help keep up the good work.

hi guys just discovered this software and decided to take the plunge.
im running xbmc on my laptop (Wired Lan) connected via hdmi passthough to my Yamaha 3030 av receiver , Panasonic vt50 plasma , sky F5 Box.

I would like eventually the run the lot via vox commando, This will take a eternity as im new to all this and need to educate myself  :bonk work in progress

im wondering how to control vox when I have loud music in the background ....I did read something about ducking but im still no wiser.

I changed the confidence level which helped a lot and have got things working in simple mode so to speak  any links or suggestions appreciated

thanks
